Fayetteville, N.C. — Fayetteville has been ranked among the best mid-sized cities in which to locate a business.
The city was ranked 51st among mid-size markets in a survey by Southern Business & Development magazine. Catawba County ranked 20th on the list, while Asheville was 53rd.
“This type of recognition is great for the city of Fayetteville,” Doug Peters, president of the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, said in a statement. “We are well prepared to handle expanding and relocating projects, and it’s time that people see Fayetteville as a major player in the economic development of the state.”
Results were based on information from the Census Bureau, the ACCRA Cost of Living Index, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the National Board of Realtors and the Bureau of Labor and Statistics.
